Cardiac Arrest is a common and familiar term to the Indian people. Basically when the heart of a human being stops functioning or you can say stops beating, that medical situation is referred as Cardiac Arrest. A man who is trapped with sudden cardiac arrests starts losing his sense and stops ordinary breathing. Of you don’t take quick actions at the spot; a cardiac arrest can take the life of an individual within a few minutes. Doctors frequently refer to this situation as “sudden death” or “sudden cardiac Death (SCD).”

What Causes a Cardiac or Heart Attack?

The most common reason that leads to cardiac arrest is Ventricular fibrillation. This mainly happens when the regular contraction and relaxation of heart muscle withdrawal is taken by disorderly electrical action that causes the heart to quit thumping and pumping blood to the cerebrum and different parts of the body. If the flow of blood to the brain from the heart is not restored, there can be devastating consequences like instant death or Permanent brain damage. Heart attack is the most widely recognized reason for ventricular fibrillation. Other causes for cardiac arrest can be respiratory issues (loss of breathing capacity), stifling, injury and electric shock.

Who has a Risk of Cardiac Arrest

In most of the cases sudden cardiac arrest occurs to people who are in their mid-thirties to mid-forties. Another scary fact about cardiac arrest is that to every single woman there are two men who suffer instant cardiac arrest. Sudden cardiac arrest is very rare in children and only those with inherited problems are prone to this. Each year only a very few cases of cardiac arrest to children are reported.
